Tempo is nearly the same and the key of the song is semi-relative to Hitchhiker. This is why it sounds similar to many, I'm sure...
It has more of an Undone vibe for me.darth_vedder wrote:I like the clip and I'm looking forward to the album more and more. Good job on the Hitchhiker references team. It's a great song, and based on what I'm hearing I think Superblood Wolfmoon will be right up my ally too. Is any one else picking up a slight Sonic Reducer vibe? The guitar tones on both songs are so much better than anything on BS or LB; Ed also sounds great on both songs. Him not being so front and center is just what was needed. Neither song sounds sterile (like the last two albums and various songs between) and I'm getting a bit of a garage rock feeling, and that feeling makes me happy. Yet it's not garage rock because it seems to be more layered / nuanced. Whatever it is, I'm on board. This is easily the most I've been exited about Pearl Jam in a decade.
Love it. One of my favorite bridges too.Birds in Hell wrote:Hitchhiker is such a great song.

Dang man, I usually agree with you but that's a horrible take.Birds in Hell wrote:Geez, I don't hear that at all.
As much as I love Hitchhiker, I absolutely loathe Undone.
Terrible song.
Nah, we have all we need to deem this their 8th or 9th best album already.Got Some wrote:Is no one going to talk about the album seeing we have a single, a snippet of the second single and a live performance of the closing song ??
I definitely dont hear undone in this one either, but i LOVE undone, i cant really explain why but it just never gets old to meBirds in Hell wrote:Geez, I don't hear that at all.

I used to really like down, but these days its very low on my list, but undone is probably top 20Birds in Hell wrote:It’s like musical sandpaper to me. Down isn’t much better.
Feels like they’re both tapping into some particularly American 70s laidback rock vibe that really gets under my skin in an unpleasant way.
Im with you on thatBirds in Hell wrote:Anyway, I like Hitchhiker an awful lot.

I really like the bridge on the Lost Dogs Rescue compEJ wrote:Love it. One of my favorite bridges too.Birds in Hell wrote:Hitchhiker is such a great song.
