Heard this at Wrigley. Hated it. Is the studio version similar? Or does it still sound like it needs to be on Country Top 40 radio?

it hasn't leaked, but the reports from the listening parties say that it is much more artfully done on the record while still being fundamentally the same song

there's absolutely nothing i like about this song musically.
production wise it reminds me of a BITUSA era Bruce song at times.

this is easily the most "Ed solo" sounding song on the album.

the best thing i can say is that Ed's voice sounds nice on it.

definitely an 80s springsteen vibe.

I get more Tunnel of Love or Rising Bruce than Born in the USA, though.

Brendan is still the best thing about this song, which is really weird for me. He gave it space and atmosphere beyond what the writing earned on its own, and that helped make it a lot less criminal.

better than Wrigley, but definitely the weakest song on the record, and one of the bottom closers thus far.

all or none, around the bend, and inside job are my bottom 3. All the other records end quite strong. This is definitely down there with those songs. Possibly at the bottom. I need more than one listen on shitty speakers to make that call.

Really the only weak track on the record, but hardly irredeemable.

Yellow Moon could have closed. THis one sounds better on second listen...

'All or None' is not only my favorite song off of Riot Act (one of 3-4 worthy tunes for me), but one of my favorite closers actually :/

i adore 'Around The Bend' too, moreso than 'Inside Job', 'Parting Ways', and obviously 'The End'
