I just find it a little lacklustre, particularly in the verses. Doesn't have enough attitude to pull off the cheese

Yep. The biggest problem is that Ed doesn't do swag.

I just wish they would stop writing these. All of these token "fun" songs will be awful from here on in.

He's supposed to be pissed off or reserved, the only time he's pulled off swag is on Bushleager

And doesn't he do it brilliantly? "How does he do it? How does he do it, uncanny and immutable." God, I laugh when I say those lyrics like Ed. If only LTRP could have done that for me.

bushleaguer is so bad, guys. That's maybe the most disappointed I've ever been in a pj track since I wanted so desperately for it to be good.

by a lot

though its still early, but Big Wave was good to me at first but its just so harsh sounding on the album, probably just the production and i might change my mind if i ever get it live, but i cant listen to it. Supersonic has been my least favorite on backspacer pretty much for the beginning i think. im liking LTRP a lot and i dont see it changing, but i havent been listening for a full week yet so we will see.

It was impossible for me to do anything but roll my eyes at that whole thing, despite so desperately wanting to love it.

Bushleaguer's a good song that could have been a great one. It's got some of my favorite music off that record, but it's not one of the spoken word pieces I'd point to as Ed's high point.

Probably surpasses Let the Records Play, though.

eh, that one is tough, and still the newness of LTRP is an unfair advantage, but i think id take LTRP over bushleaguer
