I gotta say though: I got pretty scared with the bump. Especially after Chuck Berry.
Tom Waits thread, Neil Young thread, etc. etc...they all worry me whenever they're bumped.

One more potential advantage to Spenno's thread!

When Tom Waits dies, I'm pretty sure all the beer glasses and whiskey tumblers in my house will immediately shatter, I'll get an insatiable urge to pick up smoking, and a midget with a peg-leg will ramble around the corner and ask me how to get to Curly Joe's House of Tricks. No R.I.P. thread necessary for that.

Much like Evenslow, most of the time I mistake it for a Blue Oyster Cult thread.

Guys, this thread is going to be bumped with a whole bunch of tour announcements and new albums before it ever becomes a RIP thread. He's not that old.

I love it too. What do you think of "Paradise Alley" and "Annie's Back in Town?" Sometimes I think those are his two best '70's songs.

Put a saddle on a wishbone and you're halfway there.

Awesome.

First time i've heard this track. Its beautiful and goes along side on the nickel and Tom Trauberts Blues. Still need to connect to the lyrics but that was a great listen.
