Great chapter...great ending too...The flash forward scenes set the story about a year after whats happening now...with Walt seemingly recovered from the cancer and alive....i thought this jesse vs walt feud was going to happen then, in the "future", not right now with most of the characters involved.
It doesnt look good for Hank, i dont know why.

I think it has something to do with costing Walt his fortune.

that was my initial thought, but now i'm thinking jesse's going to look to kill todd... thinking that he's been cooking this whole time and not necessarily b/c he's cooking again.

Walt really lives in his ego (and to some extent his legacy). His assumption that he can always outsmart everyone because he is their superior. I took it to mean that Jesse has thought of a loose end somewhere along the line that Walt has not, possibly exposing him publicly as Heisenberg. We can assume that happens at some point based on the graffiti in Walt's house.

Though it very well could be cooking again and diluting the product quality or making a batch of 'blue sky' that is toxic.



As for the episode, it was my least favorite so far of the final eight. The plot points here actually did feel a little forced, esp. Jesse's alliance with Hank. Though it was nice to see Hank and Marie start 'breaking bad'.

I hate that the clock is ticking on this series, because I can think of endless ways this could continue to expand and change. My guess after this episode...

Obviously these characters are soon to collide w/ the Aryans, and I have a feeling that the gun Walt has in his trunk in the flash forward is intended to "undo" the decision to have Jesse killed by wiping out Todd and the Aryans. A tiny redemption, but I think it'll be a supremely satisfying one. Where Hank comes down in this, I don't know, but I can envision a scenario where Walt protects them all, extracts them all from this nightmare with one final act of violence,and then goes up the river.

I dunno. That's not unreasonable, but I am not sure I would be satisfied with a "winner" to come out of the conflict. I am OK with an upbeat ending, but not one where characters suddenly redeem themselves through heroism or self-sacrifice. Every character has had a moment where they could have chose the right thing and did not. It's one of the things that makes their descents so fascinating. The integrity of the story would be compromised by making them change course at the end.

Walt seems so strangely calm in the flash forward scenes. If there's someone he wanted to protect I think he'd look a little more like he's...in a hurry. Looks like he just doesn't care anymore and is just gonna kill as many fuckers (probably the Aryans) as he can.
