Did anyone watch NXT REvolution? that was the kind of show that reminds me why I watch wrestling.
TLC is looking to be one of those PPV's that I will be watching only because I paid for the Network and only when I have 3 hours that I don't have anything better to do.

Yes. Takeover was excellent and Steen (Kevin Owens) turning heel, though predictable, was awesome. Owens looked fantastic in his match. His move set is so unorthodox and badass. I have been a fan of that dude for years I'm excited to see what they do with him. They will probably fuck it up but I will hold out hope they don't. HHH said it would be a historic debut for Owens. Probably not historic per se but awesome. Anyone who has not seen the Steen/Generico (Sami Zayn) matches you should watch them. Very good stuff. Amazing chemistry. I'd love to see the NXT title on the line at Mania this year to generate interest. If we get Zayn/Owens at Mania I will freak the hell out. Those two on the main roster would ease the disappointment of Punk being gone....somewhat anyway.
The Ascension is ready. They have been ready for a long time. The tag division needs a kick in the ass. They should call them up and align them with Rollins.
Finn Bálor will get over as fuck as well. Hopefully he can get past the Benoit comparisons. I'm worried that could hold him back. His entrance alone last night was great. Just wait until they let him get going.
I thought Graves did a great job on commentary as well. Riley is a dope. He said Itami doesn't talk English? The fuck? Well, it's speak English and he does so just fine. I was
Agreed on your TLC take. Pre network my buddy always bought PPVs and a few of us would come over and pitch in and watch. If there was no network I would not even bother. Though I think Dolph/Harper and Ambrose/Wyatt should be good.

I saw the opening match, first time I've seen Steen/Owens and he killed it. I fell asleep after that but I'm looking forward to seeing Balors match and the main event tonight. NXT is hands down the best wrestling show produced today. It's better than TNA and better than any other WWE show.

I was hoping for them to put Owens and Zayn into a feud, and I like that they just jumped into it. They know the audience wants it and a big portion of the NXT audience watches ROH, and they are capitalizing on it. That was a great move on WWE's part. That would be awesome for them to put that match on at Wrestlemania, even if it is in the pre show.
The Ascension will be awesome in WWE. I can see them becoming tag team champions quickly as they will get over quickly because they are so different than anything we've seen in a while from the tag team division.
I think all three of their big signings this year will get over. Itami might have the hardest time getting over, but I still have no doubt that he will get over.

As a huge ROH/Indie wrestling geek (not as much as I use to be but geek nonetheless) the thoughts of some Zayn/Owens, Owens/Bryan, Zayn/Bryan, Cesaro/Owens, Cesaro/Zayn (amazing chemistry there), Rollins/Zayn, Ambrose/Owens matches is fun to think about.
Bryan and Rollins had a 15 minute match on Raw about a year and a half ago that was incredible. Rollins took this sick bump.

My idea for a Zayn/Owens feud....
I want them to take their time with it. Nothing but smack talk and stare downs for awhile. Have Zayn come out in the Rumble. Have him do pretty well and have Owens come out in street clothes and eliminate him at some point. They can have a match at the next Takeover (which would be like Feb) and Zayn can retain. Maybe a ladder match so both remain strong. Then have them have a title match at Mania with Steen winning it. Zayn can get called up a few weeks later. Agreed, even if it's a preshow match at Mania it would be great for the product. I really think if those two go out there and put on a 4-5 star clinic at Mania it will help with network subscriptions. Shrug.
There is talk The Ascension will be up by Mania time. Rumble would be a good time for them to debut. Aren't they doing the 40 man Rumble? I heard they are and that they are NOT having legends involved. Which makes me think we will see a few NXT guys like Zayn, The Ascension, Baron Corbin and maybe Itami or Finn Balor.
Itami will never be a star in the WWE I don't think. I'd love that but he can def be a guy who has the best match on the card most nights. KENTA/Itami was big time in Japan but that does not always translate to the states very well. I think about that with guys like The Great Muta all the time who could have been HUGE in the WWF in the 90s. The fact KENTA/Itami uses the GTS (which Punk borrowed from him actually) could hurt him and just lead to CM Punk chants. Hope I'm wrong there.

I was reading that NXT is the only WWE show that Kevin Dunn doesn't produce. It also happens to be the only WWE show that isn't currently awful, maybe VInce should take note of that. NXT has a really cool indie/territory vibe to it that I love.

That they do. Dunn has been on the Board of Directors for quite a long time. I wanna say like 7-8 years? he is the ultimate yes man. Vince is a control freak and Dunn is essentially an extension of Vince. Which is annoying.
I wish Heyman had a prominent role in booking, producing, etc.

Watching Balor/Itami v Ascension right now. Balor's entrance and the war paint were fucking awesome. I hope this is a thing where Balor goes to this character only for big matches, that would have great potential. I'm pretty much a complete mark for this guy after watching him for the last month. I've gotta check out his work before NXT.

That was the best show I've seen in years. The matches were superb, the storytelling was excellent, the crowd was on fire, it was perfect. There's no way TLC a comes close to that show.

aaand tlc sucked.
opening ladder match and main event were decent if not pretty good, but everything else failed to excite me in any way. the cena match extra-curriculars were just awful.

TLC a was ok. The opening match was fantastic, and the closing match was good as well. Cena/Rollins was really overbooked but it wasn't a bad match.

TLC was ok. Yes the ladder match was sick. Dolph is incredible. Hopefully him and Rollins feud over the title in 2015. Even if it's briefly I'd like to see Dolph have a run with the title in 2015.

I like most of your list. I'd add Bryan v HHH from Mania but I'm not sure what I'd replace it with. Maybe Cena/Wyatt.
Bryan v Wyatt at Rumble might be my fav match of 2014. Both were just incredible and Wyatt worked and sold like a fuckin boss.

Ziggler/Harper actually bumped HHH/Bryan from my list.
