Certainly a much more solid album than it ever gets credit for. Weird marketing (I like the horror vibe but I get that others don't) and overhype didn't help, nor did the decline in production. My biggest gripe actually is that Cold Confession and Let It Ride didn't make the album. Those would have been among my favorites from it, and there are a lot of tracks on this one that I love so that's saying something.

I’ll take the shaming on RM for it, it Of the Earth might have been the best track if it made the album.

Perhaps a forlorn hope, but I would love an expanded reissue of this album one day.

Seems as though there was plenty of good stuff recorded, much of which ended up being shelved.

They made some odd decision in the early 2000’s. There is no way to justify down, letter to the dead (sad) and of the earth being b-sides.

I mean there’s an entire other albums worth of excellent material that was left behind or partially worked up.

I blasted this one on vinyl the other day, grabbed the booklet...just me and the album. Sang every fucking song like crazy.

I fucking love this album.

I enjoy Cold Confession but that song--at least as far as they got with it on the version we've all heard--sounds to me like it had a ways to go as a composition before it would be ready for primetime. I can't see it fitting on that particular record either. Let It Ride feels more finished, but more like a Binaural track, oddly. I can see why they stopped pursuing both.

Sad is among the best songs this band has put forward in the last 20 years.

they recently did a retrospective on this on pj radio

Only a few songs in but what ive learned so far:L

WWS was original meant to open the album. LIfe wasted was a later addition according to Ament.

Cameron said they were never on the same page about the album and recording it but he's happy with how it ultimately turned out.

Whatever that means.

Im listening to it now in vinyl. The remastered version. How did BOB manage to make this sound even worse? Geezes christ.

Do I need to fork out money for the original now?

Sad is fantastic and I was lucky to see it live in 2006

and yeah, for all its original issues, I think the remixed album sounds worse

Just finished a listen through.

Damn, this is a great album. Even Inside Job hit the spot for me.

ITs been awhile since I listened all the way through and i kind of forgot the track sequence.

Awesome

Played this in the car earlier this week. Still a pretty solid album - Marker has recently become one of my favorite songs. What a great bunch of bootlegs from this Tour - Happy 15 S/T - even though today is Binaural's birthday, :P

Hell yeah, saw this post and have been listening to this quite a bit. Solid ass album. Marker In The Sand stands out so much to me. The drums coming in to that last verse. :nice:

I still hate Inside Job.

I love the lyrics on this one, the change and the melody. Marker in the Sand's ending gives that "Believe You Me" feeling. The live version at the Gorge 2006 solidified this song as one of my favorites.
