How did axl age so poorly?

I don’t think it’s that bad. Ten years ago he physically looked almost like his old self, but with weird hair and style. Now he acts and dresses just fine, and looks healthy. He did gain weight, which is probably reason number one, for his diiferent look.

That was 2010. He looks better in 2018.

Im really hoping they put out a new album. I'm so fascinated by this band, or perhaps, by Axl. From his madness, to his awful aging and incredible talent.

This lineup is pretty great. New album and another tour. That'd be great and then perhaps Chinese Democracy might become something more reasonable in the scheme of their/axls career.

Also that information about Buckethead is hilarious.

I still listen to Chinese. Not of all of it but the first 5 tracks are fucking incredible...i like Sorry and Madagascar as well.
Im too fascinated with Axl. His persona, his vanishing in the 90s, his come back...Hope he releases a book someday.

Exactly what I thought. A bit weird as well.

I think AFD is one of the best two guitar albums ever. Izzy and Slash made a very unique tandem with completely different approaches but made it work. For me, it is up there with the Keith Richards/Mick Taylor era of the Stones for best two guitar band. While I enjoy the new era of GnR and Chinese Democracy, nothing comes close to AFD and Lies. Any new record will sorely miss Izzy.

I still prefer both Use Your Illusion albums to AFD. Maybe its because those two albums made a really big impact here when i was a kid and the band came to argentina and were treated almost as outlaws back in the day. They seemed dangerous really. I dont know, but those two albums made a mark.

As much as I don’t care for Axl’s voice, AFD is one of the best rock albums ever made.

GNR is playing in ACL this year. The lineup is, so far, the best lineup i saw for a festival.
