That is 100% something that reactionary folks unwilling to see the larger picture would believe, but I assume something that is growing more common as we focus on individual identity and shame national identity. Feds can and do prosecute people for all kinds of stuff, I'd rather they stick to actual crimes rather than squinting at the criminal code and deciding this is close enough.
