His obsession with the dark and wanting to finish what Vader started finally bites him back fatally and he pays the ultimate price and in realizing it too late he dies saving Rey
If Palpatine doesn’t say ‘I knew Darth Vader. I was his master. You are no Darth Vader’
It’ll be a real missed opportunity

Makes sense. Arndt is similarly credited on TFA. If they didn't include Connolly & Trevorrow it would be really weird.

I think that’s just a nicety not a requirement.
Leigh bracketts script for empire wasn’t used not single element from it and lucas gave her a writing credit.

To be fair hes made massive $1 billion block busters and some beautiful smaller movies. He had one critical blip.
