1. Dark Matter
2. Gigaton
3. S/T
4. Backspacer
5. Lightning Bolt
That would be incredible, feels within reach, and, better yet, would entirely validate my past two and a half decades of confused, passive-aggressive, Stockholm-esque fandom.
We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…

If DM can’t beat 4 and 5, it will be an epic calamity.

I too would like it to top this list. I like gig just fine, but it did not age as well as I expected.

I think for me it’s tied with Avo.

Outlier shot this could be wonderful and creep to yield echelon, but I’m not counting on it.
maybe I like the Giga more than you but otherwise all of this

Yes. I don't expect production values to impress like they did on Gigaton, but I expect the songs to be well-crafted and different.

I'd personally be thrilled with this, so long as it's not the second to last record of their career, of course.

Gig is barley above LB. So I hope it is as great as Backspacer.

I thought ST was Pearl Jam's "return to form" album?

I thought the Twitter clip had some nice production ear candy, we'll see

people said that because it was a louder and more aggressive album than Riot Act, but what makes accelerate so good is that it fully understands what made REM great, what people want from them, and was able to capture that in a way that felt true to where they were then. I dont think thats the case with ST

I really like door leak at 230-300. It sound a bit like Yield it is open has a Zep feel. The song before it sound great I think it is Running. The Ballad has a bit of Yield era to it

Yup this is the snippet that I'm always singing/humming to myself, to the point where my daughter said, "You REALLY like that, don't you?"

Johnny Turner wrote:From Facebook:

Tracklist:
1. Scared of Fear
2. React, Respond
3. Wreckage
4. Dark Matter
5. Won't Tell
6. Upper Hand
7. Waiting for Stevie
8. Running
9. Something Special
10. Got to Give
11. Setting Sun
If this is the correct tracklist my thoughts about the metal door clips are:

Clip 1 - either Scared of Fear or React, Respond
Clip 2 - Wreckage (which is an obvious one)
Clip 3 - Dark Matter which everyone knows now. I originally thought it was a heavier part of Wreckage but stand corrected after the leaked samples.
Clip 4 - Won’t Tell
Clips 5 and 6 - Upper Hand. Both clips have the same tempo. Could be different sections of the song.
Clip 7 - Waiting For Stevie
Clip 8 - Running

I clearly hear running lyrics after pink floydish nais type song. Running starts at 149

yeah it makes complete sense that "Waiting for Stevie" would have that triplet swingy feel; "Isn't She Lovely?" has that same groove

maybe this song IS, or becomes, the song about Ed's daughter

ISL is a song about Stevie Wonder's daughter; there could be stuff about "waiting" for her birth

we know Ed is that schmaltzy, but is he that clever?
