Maybe it's not a popular topic for dems and Trump doesn't want to remind people that he has failed to build a wall.
We didn’t have race riots and a global pandemic in 2016

I mean, immigration panic and caravan fears were the entire Republican game plan in 2018 and they lost by 8.6%. Can’t imagine they’d get more traction with it now.

Immigration was always a vehicle to advance white grievance fears about declining cultural hegemony and economic insecurity, and it seems like the 1-2 punch of BLM and COVID-driven unemployment have made it unnecessary.

I also noticed that it was entirely absent. There's also the issue that Trump injected immigration into the '18 congressional campaigns (remember the caravans?) and that didn't play well. Trump is probably champing at the bit to talk about it, and, honestly, it's not like Biden has a great immigration record or anything, but I don't think it's a topic that would move the needle in either direction.
Impeachment was also only brought up once, I believe, and it was by Trump, during one of his woe-is-me moments. That feels like it happened 10,000 years ago, and at this point, nobody cares. Remember when people thought it would bolster Trump to a second term on a wave of indignation? Glory be.
The dems were smart to finally drop it in January or whenever. That was a dead end if ever there was one.

Did Stip ever give an official explanation for why he stopped posting in N&D? I just always assumed public posts on politics had become too sensitive for his work, or something.
I miss his contributions here - they were always interesting and well thought out.

He likes to spout opinions. Interaction? Not so much.
