Heh I just read that. If you're gonna be a terrorist, maybe don't announce it to a reporter first.

I think your argument is with the public, more than some conspiracy on the part of the media. The national broadcast networks lean into the content that drives higher ratings, and Trump drives rating. People turn on the television when the Donald is on and turn it off when Syria pops up. I would love to see more in-depth coverage of some of these issues (which, coincidentally, would push everything unearthed about the Clintons from the WikiLeaks releases even further off the front page), but I also agree with chud that it's impossible to argue that the Republican nominee for president might be a habitual sexual assaulter is not a massive story

That isn't all of it. Many of these networks also desperately want Trump to lose the election. To be clear, I desperately want Trump to lose the election. He most certainly should lose the election. But that doesn't change the fact that most news media outlets routinely act in a biased way against candidates they don't like. At least recognize it. Be aware of it, even if you agree with it.
Burten Iris post, but well said.

This election is turning me into the kind of liberal I've always hated. Like, I actually want the media to do everything it can to stop Trump from winning. Fucking conservatives drove me to this bullshit. Ugh.

I was talking more about the spoonfed propaganda about Israel being this long suffering embattled state. US media all read from the same hymn sheet with no balance. I think john Stewart was the only one ever broke rank on that. How is it coverage of anything isn't questioned about its own agenda?

That's like a line from black mirror. It shouldn't be entertaining. It's serious. The most serious job interview in the world. But Donald has dragged it down to entertainment. Fucking scary.

Every now and again you can't help but sit up and think "shit...today getting caught up on the newest election news in my country involved listening to a voter at a rally imply the need for the other side's candidate to be executed if she wins, reading that another guy planned on using 'racial profiling' to identify likely voter fraud, and being swamped with an entire internet's worth false 'bird dogging' claims of aggression and violence by people who also have a penchant for putting up pictures of themselves with firearms.

Trump, speaking to crowd in Wisconsin, refers to reporters as "the enemies back there"
Trump is now alleging that Barack Obama won North Carolina in 2008 because of illegal immigrants voting illegally.
