Tweeted Stone 15 minutes ago asking about the gun etc and possible release of the single. No response. I did however get emailed some legal mumbo jumbo about "Having no contact" etc.

and by the way, looking at this countdown script (and assuming I read it right) I can say there's gonna be one more countdown after this one

aaaand it looks like it will be a long one:

days = 95;
hours = 8;
minutes = 59
seconds = 60;

so something like October 14 I think

I just looked at the source code and I don't see any reference to countdown3 or the time frame you're talking about? Do you have screen shot you can post?

you'll notice that when the time's up it calls a function called do_reveal with '2' as its parameter

this will load this page:
http://pearljam.com/ajax/do_reveal.php?rid=2

the content isn't there yet but the countdown3 placeholder div is, as well as a call to the countdown function with said div as its parameter

you can see the days/hours/minutes thing in the countdown2.js script, I assume after the do_reveal function is called at the end of the current countdown these values are used as starting values for the 3rd countdown


unrelated but the name of the new pic is 0709143136MYM-WEDNESDAY-NEW.jpg so it definitely looks like it's the single artwork
