Yeah actually, Monkey Warfare was the very first movie I watched at the Buenos Aires Independent Film Festival in 2006 so it's a pretty significant movie for me. I shook Reginald Harkema's hand and it was so sweaty.

But yeah, Tu Dors Nicole, Vic and Flo Saw a Bear, The Suburbanators, stuff like Les Demons... lots of my favorite dirt-cheap indies are from Canada for some reason

Anyone going to watch “Crimes of the Future”? Apparently people are walking out at Cannes due to it’s content

this is so weird...so they look at the trailer, the poster, the ¨directed by david cronenberg ¨ part, they read the news about David saying¨ ey, this is going to be divisive ¨ but they still go to see it and walk away

Only the press screening had people walk out, the premiere audience had none and garnered a standing ovation.

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.
