Re: The Cinematic Motion Picture News Thread
Yeah actually, Monkey Warfare was the very first movie I watched at the Buenos Aires Independent Film Festival in 2006 so it's a pretty significant movie for me. I shook Reginald Harkema's hand and it was so sweaty.
But yeah, Tu Dors Nicole, Vic and Flo Saw a Bear, The Suburbanators, stuff like Les Demons... lots of my favorite dirt-cheap indies are from Canada for some reason

Only the press screening had people walk out, the premiere audience had none and garnered a standing ovation.VinylGuy wrote:this is so weird...so they look at the trailer, the poster, the ¨directed by david cronenberg ¨ part, they read the news about David saying¨ ey, this is going to be divisive ¨ but they still go to see it and walk awayE.H. Far be it from me to defend journalists (enemy of the people) but there is probably no shame in walking out of a Cronenberg movie.

One of the scenes that caused some to walk out was apparently when one of the characters was orgasming while licking an open wound.
I hope it wasn't Viggo.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I like to make fun of Jared Leto as much as the next guy, but there are times when he can be great. I thought he was fantastic in WeCrashed.

Morbin' time died the moment Jared Leto acknowledged Morbin' time
