The Big Chill.

I liked it. Very talky movie that's very 80s, one that would have bored me as a child. I'm glad I didn't see it until I was much older, I would not have related to the characters as much if I would have seen it even in my 20s. While I haven't kept up with college friends there are high school friends I've kept contact with and there's been several times, typically when one loses a parent, that kind of situation has happened to me. Some of my most memorable discussions have come from nights like that.

The Big Chill is great.

I watched the first Paradise Lost doc the other night. Really great film.

I've never watched any of the WM3 docs, but I kinda got the same feeling from Serial. I spent weeks becoming frustrated with the way Adnan was profiled and how the trial was a circus and his lawyer was crazy...but I'm like 99% sure he did it.

I didnt like it. I thought it was kind of meh. I was pretty tired so perhaps ill give it another try. The main actor actually does a really good job being creepy but i dont feel there was really mch tension at all. Gets great reviews though...

I don't know, man. I haven't "dug in" really yet. I know a bit about the thing but these two docs -- I watched part two Thursday night -- haven't shown me anything that leads me to believe these kids did it.

Revelations: Paradise Lost 2 -- gave me nightmares.

Love & Mercy -- gave me a headache.

Wait, Love & Mercy has 89% (and 92% audience score) on RT? That surprises the hell out of me. I thought it was a pretty wonky movie. I thought with such interesting characters and such a fascinating story that a better movie should have come out of it.

I followed the case back then, and i saw all three PL movies and they are awesome. At the end, whats showing is why the state decided those guys were guilty, even if they didnt have any proof...

-Dawn (2015) (A bit wonky, but very interesting. There's palpable anger in here, and the movie rubs your face in discomfort. I'd love to see what McGowan would do with a full feature.)

-Inside Out (2015) / (The praise this is getting is absurd; it's super straightforward (and often manipulative). Basically visualization/defamiliarization for dummies.)

-Lava (2015)

-Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (2012) (Sorry, Ruddo. I appreciate what it's doing thematically (very similar to Dracula Untold), but I think Bekmambetov is just a really crappy director. Compellingly bizarre cinematography from Caleb Deschanel, though.)

-Into the Blue (2005) (God I love John Stockwell. And god I miss Paul Walker. This has the most impressive underwater sequences I've ever seen.)

I loved Paul Dano's performance while at the same time feeling that John Cusack took me out of the movie as I was very aware that he was not Brian Wilson.

Kingsman. Well that was certainly fucking weird. At least it was different. It was alright.

I can't hardly be bothered to watch a movie. It takes so long.

I mean, I like watching movies, but I have so much trouble picking one that I just give up and do something else.
