That's what I said, bune.

I'm about to throw some 90's era Rolling Stones on here and really blow their minds.

Anyway, as part of the agreement with the organizers, I agreed to play all 90's music today. Winona's Big Brown Beaver just came on the playlist, followed by a song from Hum.

The organizer just asked me why I wasn't playing 90s music.
Primus!

Actually, there’s something like 5 Primus albums I love and then when they made their metal turn I lost interest. Sailing the Seas of Cheese and Frizzle Fry are great albums.

I came across this old Mike Patton interview (not sure how legit it is) and it got me thinking that personalitywise he really reminds me of the guys I absolutely loathed in high school. I mean I take young Eddie Vedder anytime over him.
Tell me about being approached by ‘The Project’?
Mike Patton: “Sorry?

The new band Slash and the other ex-Guns’N’Roses guys are putting together.
Mike Patton: “Did you just call it ‘The Project’?

That’s what they are calling it.
Mike Patton: “HAHAHAHA. That’s hilarious. It sounds much better than I’m sure it is. Er, well, I wasn’t really approached. I just got a phonecall from an ex-manager asking if I would be interested. Well, I wasn’t and that was about it. Not very exciting.

Why weren’t you interested?
Mike Patton: “Why do you think? You know. I think everyone else knows too, except them. Which is the funny part.

I hear they are now doing stuff with Scott Weiland.
Mike Patton: “I thought he was dead.

No, he’s alive. He’s just been arrested for cocaine possession again.
Mike Patton: “OK. Well this band will kill him off and do the world a favour.

I like FNM but Patton always seemed like the guy who took stupid pride in being an outsider. Even to the point of lying about what he likes and who he is.

Anti-Pop is when they made a metal turn. They had one or two albums that were just too heavy.

The run from their first album, Suck on This!, through the Brown Album is all quirky quality though. Got to see them twice but both shows were more than 20 years ago in ‘97 and ‘98. They were on the HORDE tour in 1997 with Beck and Neil Young & Crazy Horse so I went to that, and they played the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC (Blink-182 was the opener and they were booed off stage) in 1998.
