Go to the theater. That is how movies are meant to be consumed.

1. This definitely had a "you have to be a parent to understand" feel to it.
2. Having said that, you're right. The film had its moments, but overall felt very forced and rushed at times.

So you just hated it because you were touched inappropriately?

No, but I sure hated the people behind for scream-laughing through the whole movie.@SkitchP wrote:So you just hated it because you were touched inappropriately?LoathedVermin72 wrote:All the middle-aged people in my audience sure that it was HILARIOUS when they showed the insides of the parents' minds. I hate people near me in a cinema. An almost empty screening is perfect for me.

The "communal experience" point people always try to make about seeing a movie in theaters is such BS.LetMeSleep wrote:I hate people near me in a cinema. Analmostempty screening is perfect for me.

Last time we were at the movies, a young man near us would say "Fap! Fap! Fap!" every time a woman came onscreen.LoathedVermin72 wrote:The "communal experience" point people always try to make about seeing a movie in theaters is such BS.LetMeSleep wrote:I hate people near me in a cinema. Wow. I love going to the movies, but the so-called "communal experience" is the single biggest discouraging factor.LetMeSleep wrote:My breaking point was about 7 yrs ago and in a packed theatre there was someone eating a kebab next to us and in front a guy had a six pack with some fish and chips. This is why I love the Drafthouse. You can see movies with a theater full of people and they actually behave.

Re: What movies are you watching?
One of my most shameful moments was going to a movie completely drunk, dropping an empty wine bottle, and then hearing it roll down every step very very loudly all the way to the bottom. It seemed to take forever.
I'm not proud of that, but looking back its kinda funny.

Agreed.Mecca wrote:I loved Paul Dano's performance while at the same time feeling that John Cusack took me out of the movie as I was very aware that he was not Brian Wilson.durdencommatyler wrote:Wait, Love & Mercy has 89% (and 92% audience score) on RT? That surprises the hell out of me. I thought it was a pretty wonky movie. I thought with such interesting characters and such a fascinating story that a better movie should have come out of it.
