anyway, Erdahl's gotta be the pick.
lastly, i'm glad they didn't do the stupid thing of trading middlebrooks to keep their sideline reporter.

I've never been able to confirm this with folks I know in the Greater Boston sports media world, but I've heard that it's just a really bad rumor that took on a life of its own.

I had heard that about Cabrera.
I can also confirm that the two teams in MLB who traditionally lead the league in cheating on their girlfriend/wife are 1. Yankees, 2. Red Sox. Ask anyone who covers MLB that. There's a long running joke that they lead the league in wins, money spent and infidelity.
Cheating on women is rampant in MLB, but apparently the Sox and Yanks take it to another level.

I hate to say it, but I really, really want to see Grady Sizemore have a good, healthy season. Comeback stories like his are always fun to cheer for.
To balance that out a little, I hope A.J. Pierzynski crashes and burns.

He's a potential comeback player of the year candidate. Interesting that Sizemore is healthy, as Ellsbury battles a calf injury. Go figure.

Victorino to the 15-day DL before the first pitch of the season. I wouldn't be surprised if he plays around or fewer than 100 games this season; he was playing through a lot of nagging injuries last year and seemed to be on pure adrenaline in the postseason, now that things have settled down I dunno if he's going to have the same drive to play through the pain.

I was listening to the radio this morning and someone had a "pick" that "one of Victorino, Pierzynski, or Napoli will be hurt this year". No shit, genius.

I'm almost glad Victorino is on the DL to start the season, it forces them to keep Bradley on the roster. I'm not against Sizemore being the center fielder, but he's not going to play every day, and without Bradley on the team the only backup CF is Victorino. Adding fill in duties twice a week at CF is going to add to the shit kicking Victorino has taken since he got here. The only other option is Nava in CF, and to me, that is not an option to be taken seriously.

That's the show. Felger and Mazz is a good show most of the time, and the baseball reporters that mazz does right afterwards during the season is probably the best show they do. If you ever listen on the weekends Hardy and Trupiano is a hoot.

Yeah, I listen to Felger & Mazz pretty regularly these days, unless they are bogged down on a particular thing I dont want to hear.
