The beginning guitar on this one reminds me of Brain of J.

Yea I guess. The tempo maybe too. And just the fact that it starts with a sweet and short guitar riff followed soon by aggressive vocals.

Anyone else occasionally get about a third of the way into this and then restart it because you just need to hear it again from the beginning? :D

I do actually. I love the start, then it levels out, then it gets awesome again - so in that early middle stretch it is a debate about pushing forward or starting over

the biggest discomfort I have of this and SBWM together is that they're an identical tempo

I'm not sure if the Last Dance doc had an effect, but everytime the chorus comes around I get a nostalgic 90's NBA feeling. I think it's hitting a John Tesh jingle note in me.

I've probably said it 10 times in this thread, but Who Ever Said, especially 2:20 on is my favorite Pearl Jam in 20 years.

One bad ear and one eye blind
It takes a village but don't take mine
Living forwards in a backwards town
I feed 'em drinks just to watch 'em drown
Swallow my pencil and bleed out my pen
Surrender the wish we'll be together again
And I won't give up
I won't give up
On satisfaction, satisfaction

Gave up on satisfaction

Pull myself aside on a sleepless night
Sadness blurs, I'm in need of a light
Out of balance, balance, balance this time
I'm feeling fading, calling as I'm falling out of sight
As the silence gets louder my heart gets pounding
And ventricles pumping, working overtime
Our freedoms fraught with danger being circumscribed
A life cut short and circumcised
A rubble of commandments from the road, step aside
A rubble of commandments in the road, step aside

FUCK YEAH!!!!!!

I sometimes hear/sing this as "leaning forward," which I like for the imagery of the bartender actively pushing drinks on these people he wants to watch drown.
