Your number has absolutely no determination over whether or not you get selected for tickets.

Wonder why that is exactly...seems like that would be a good compromise to have your lottery chances weighted by 10C seniority (more ping pong balls to draw from for lower-# members), especially with the GA watering down seniority already.

I used to be in "lottery makes no difference" camp, but it really is a significant change to the way 10C tickets are distributed.

It's a lot harder to score tickets to multiple shows now, you only have a really a good chance at one show (and even that's not certain.)

Whew, got my Baltimore tickets. This was the only show I could make this tour, so I was gonna be pissed if I missed out.

Even though I "won", I don't know if I like this approach. I never had any problems getting tickets to DC shows in years past. I didn't this time either, but I didn't like "entering" and waiting around to "win". Guess I shouldn't really complain, but the new way just seems weird to me. Maybe I just don't like change?

Oh, and I'm in for Hartford. No word on Worcester though.

Which may or may not help. The other outstanding issue is that the 10c seems to get access to less and less tickets every tour.

You would actually think that people would have a higher chance at getting tickets to their hometown show because of the preference system. (IE people who rate it #1 have better odds than someone who rated it #4).

I can't imagine the stingier nature of ticket agencies helps us out any.

Didn't get an email about Worcester, but checked my ticket page on pj.com and I see I lost there.

Spenno does have a point, this system does make it harder to go to multiple shows. But honestly, is that a bad thing?

Well, I know that with the old system if you lost out on your local show, you could try again when the next closest show went on sale. With this, it's win or lose in one shot. Easy for the 10c, but tough on the fans who lose out in the lotto.

All of my entries still say "entered". Hmm.... that doesn't bode well.

Hartford was by far my priority. Later in the tour means better show usually. And Hartford is a Friday night not a Tuesday.

My sister also put in for Hartford and Worcester and she's still TBD while I have win/loss.

Still no word for me on Charlotte. :/

Not necessarily. I think it was probably a conscious decision to enforcedly spread the ticket distribution around more than the old system.

I was mainly responding to Matt's point that it makes no difference - when I actually thought about how the system works in practice, I realised it really does make a large difference. Going forwards, people are going to have to get used to not relying on 10C as their primary source of tickets. It'll be a bonus if they score them, otherwise it's off to Ticketmaster.
