I guess I'll go with Johnny Guitar and... something else. I'm torn.
Hmmm not sure if that one counts, does it? Victoria Williams wrote it.philpritchard wrote:Crazy Mary
The original PJ one is a studio versionHardTI wrote:Hmmm not sure if that one counts, does it?philpritchard wrote:Crazy Mary
Yeah I thought covers were allowed as long as they were studio versions.ccanad wrote:The original PJ one is a studio versionHardTI wrote:Hmmm not sure if that one counts, does it?philpritchard wrote:Crazy Mary
You're probably all right. I wouldn't care either way honestly. I wouldn't get in the way of a man picking a great song =)philpritchard wrote:Yeah I thought covers were allowed as long as they were studio versions.ccanad wrote:The original PJ one is a studio versionHardTI wrote:Hmmm not sure if that one counts, does it?philpritchard wrote:Crazy Mary

I'd pick a '00 tour version over the studio version any day.melonhead4 wrote:"Covers are allowable only if we have studio versions of them"HardTI wrote:Hmmm not sure if that one counts, does it? Victoria Williams wrote it.philpritchard wrote:Crazy Mary
Great pick....I love the studio version of that song....idk y but to me no live versions have ever topped it even with all the crazy soloing etc....the studio version just has this haunting atmosphere that cant be replicated live...
You mean awesomely ok!Dr. Van Nostrand wrote:crazy mary is ok

another great song, man they have a great catalogccanad wrote:I'm not sure why this song hasn't been picked, one of their hits, classic early PJ feel. The power of Ed's voice was incredible at this point. Yeah, the live versions of this song have degraded over time (voice, tempo, etc...), but so have most others. I think I can make it fit somewhere in a playlist.

Cool song. I was only a fan of it during my early days as a PJ fan. It never did much for me after a few years, but it's certainly a quality song!ccanad wrote:I'm not sure why this song hasn't been picked, one of their hits, classic early PJ feel. Great song. It's one of those that I never really think of, but when it comes on I absolutely love every second of it.ccanad wrote:I'm not sure why this song hasn't been picked, one of their hits, classic early PJ feel. One of my least favorite of the early years. Still, can't believe it lasted this long.ccanad wrote:I'm not sure why this song hasn't been picked, one of their hits, classic early PJ feel.
