The hundreds of bodies I had already seen were all wrapped in white so these are entirely new bodies. The 17,000 figure is certainly an undercount, and a 4-day pause in the bombing isn’t nearly enough to retrieve the thousands of bodies still under the rubble. So much death.

Hamas is the autorities on Gaza, and numbers and reports primarily come from them. Here they reported that Israel bombed a hospital that killed 500 people (later revised to 471). Turns out it wasn't Israel that bombed it. That's not insignificant.

Meanwhile our PM, who I loathe, is the target of the IDF online propaganda machine for very simply using a bible parable, from the actual bible, to welcome little Emily hom to her family and Ireland.
