Fair. How do you feel about the new Fontaines DC? I really liked the album a lot, but that cover art almost kept me from listening to it.

i actually like the cover art, and the album is great. one of my favs this year.

new MJ Lenderman out this Friday. I had some money in my PayPal account from doing google rewards stuff, so I pre-ordered a copy on Bandcamp.

Been looking forward to this one since She’s Leaving You came out.

I'm really hoping that it's good. Wouldn't mind at all if he took a bit of a leap in terms of songwriting and arrangements (I think he's much better at his own stuff than his regular band is generally).

word is there’s a cd rip of it out there.

I'm too lazy to mess with leaks and rips these days. Happy to wait until the end of the week.

after i read your post I thought I was going crazy, as i'd only known of three. just this morning I found out Wristwatch was released yesterday.

It certainly has its benefits on album release dates.

The MJ Lenderman album is breezy and agreeable.

There are a few left turns here and there but for the most part it has the Lenderman vibe we're familiar with.

On my fourth playthrough now - this record is much more than breezy and agreeable, it's superb.

Not enamored with that Fontaines album. The songs aren't blowing me away and I find it hard to get past the singer's voice, which has this vague 90s indie rock blandness to it
