why include a song you don't enjoy listening to.

I will say if I was trying to make this mix for someone else i'd include it.

This is my Binaural disc w/b-sides & other '99-'00 era songs

The "edits" below are just shortening or adjusting fades to help the transitions and to fit on 1 disc.

1. Breakerfall
2. God's Dice
3. Grievance
4. Fatal
5. Sad
6. Rival
7. Of the Girl
8. In the Moonlight (edit)
9. Thin Air
10. Drifting
11. Foldback (edit)
12. Education (edit)
13. Nothing as it Seems
14. Insignificance
15. Harmony (edit)
16. Light Years
17. Strangest Tribe
18. Sleight of Hand
19. Evacuation
20. Hitchhiker
21. Soon Forget
22. Thunderclap
23. Parting Ways (edit down to 3:46, cut writer's block)
Total: 80:05 before small edits above

Wow, that looks cool. I was just thinking about Fatal, Sad, and Education. Didn't think about all those others.

If you're gonna consider those three, you almost have to include In The Moonlight.

I've had this playing in my car all week.

It stops playing at 2:36 on rival, and I have to skip ahead to the next song

I have intentionally skipped over Breakerfall every time except for the first listen.

Before me playing it this week, I would have argued that Soon Forget was the last song, and I would have argued that Parting Ways wasn't on this album.

am I a dicky Pearl Jam fan?

and why? furthermore I stole the CD from the Library.

I'm so bad I can't stand it

ya know, actually, I can

One thing I'll say about the original tracklist: Insignificance sure does need to be the lead-in to Evacuation.

They so thoroughly belong together thematically and musically, and that opening riff of the later sounds sooo much more urgent coming right after Insignificance, that it's mind boggling that they ever decided to separate them.

What I don't understand is why you didn't just copy the library CD and then return it. I used to do that all the time. Just as effective and way less dicky.

I'm just trying to imagine all the hilarious "fixes" they would have applied to that song, if they'd come up with it in 2012 instead of 2000.

This is a "4" for me.

Sleight of Hand, Rival, Nothing as it Seems are my favs. Never heard a better (live) version of Sleight of Hand than what's on the record, but still searching...

i usually enjoy live versions to studio versions, but SoH seems like it benefits from the studio tricks they use. its got a space to it that sounds hard to replicate live. although im sure they have done good live versions. poland 2000 maybe?

Yeah, I had heard a live version from 2000 - I think it was Italy and that was really good. I'm not a big fan of the acoustic or semi acoustic live versions of SOH, seems that's what they've done lately.

I believe that they were all fully plugged in for that 2000 tour in Europe, so it makes sense that Poland is a good one. I'll check that out, thanks.

Yep. Listening to Katowice 2 now...what a cool show, opening with: Release > Of The Girl > Sleight Of Hand > Thin Air > Insignificance.

i might be wrong, but i believe they went into that show w/o a written setlist.
