Seeing a lot of takes like this and I feel the opposite. If, like Shatner before, the take away from a trip to space is 'holy fuck we really really need to save Earth' isn't that exactly the best possible outcome? Like, if you exercise the ultimate privilege and go into fucking space, coming back and with the realization that Earth matters more seems like the ideal messaging for environmentalists.
