I got two series wrong, but oddly I had the number of games right in both those series. i updated my 2nd round picks, but i'm expecting the same results.

I'm too lazy to go back, but I think the only one I got wrong was the bruins series.

Best sporting event I have ever been to. I was so dejected in the third period, and then holy shit.

Going into the series, I would have been content with the Leafs winning one game, given their youth and inexperience and that they had already exceeded expectation with their regular season success. Going into game seven, I would have been happy even if they had lost for the same reasons.

Now that the game is over, I can't say I'm happy... they got a big lead and then let Boston off the hook. The series was theirs for the taking and they gave it right back to the Bruins.

I also kinda want to bitch about Boston getting away with the brutal Kelly on JVR elbow and Lucic's hit on Gunnarsson, but the thing that really pisses me off is that the refs were obviously letting all the rough stuff go towards the end and the Leafs just backed off. When you know you aren't going to get called for anything, how do you not just start crushing absolutely everyone? A 4-1 lead is a perfect time to take advantage of the refs' leniency.

Not even close. It was game 7.

Last August I took a full time managerial job in the Washington Capitals practice facility here outside DC. I really thought they might've had a chance this season. Talk about fucking dejected. And now I get to go back into work tomorrow and deal with everyone being depressed and angry, shaking their heads. Fuuuuuuck.

One of my co-workers is a huge Bruins fan. After what Boston's endured recently and how they came back against Toronto, I wouldn't mind seeing them take the cup. Otherwise, I'd actually maybe like to see Pittsburgh win. They were in town months back and practiced at the Caps facility and couldn't have been cooler. Or someone who hasn't won in a while. Whatever. Facepalm Fucking City.

Of course the Leafs didn't help themselves either with the endless streak of giveaways, horrible rebounds and a missed break-away with 4-mins to go.

I ALMOST turned the game off at 4-2, but for some reason I stayed with it. Wow.

One thing that I think the league needs to take a look at is the way Boston worked every icing for extra time. It seemed like every time there was an icing, someone on the Bruins would hurry over and hide on the bench to force the refs to sort it out and determine who had been on the ice, and it got them more time to rest every single time. I don't know what the rules are, but doesn't it seem like it should be a bench minor for delay of game when it's clearly being done intentionally over and over again?

This isn't complaining about the refs or anything, I'm just not sure what the rule is and I think it should be a penalty.
