Well, seems they are releasing Welcome 2 America on July! He was about to release this one and then shelved it. Also the deluxe edition will feature a 2011 show a The Forum dvd.

For its first single, it feels super funky and chill.

Love how they threw that Forum show in to rope me in to buying another deluxe edition.

But this is really exciting, especially when combined with The Truth getting a Record Store Day release not long before this.

Welcome 2 America is coming out this friday.

Well, the new album is pretty great yeah. It seems also like a very fitting album to be release these days, specially lyrically.

I am listening to this now. Really fantastic, and even with the dude not here with us masterfully blends all these musical genres in such an unforced and natural way.

The bass is phat. So happy for Tal. She has been stifling her excitement for this album since, what, 2011? Finally we get to hear her lay it down. Sounds great.

I enjoyed the second half more than the first. The title track in particular is a little too sassy and out of touch for mine.

Wow. I had no idea we recorded with him. I saw her with Jeff Beck and have some boots where she sat in with the Allman Brothers. She’s fucking amazing.

Yeah buddy. Prince always liked a little femme in his rhythm section. Not unlike Bowie in that regard.

I agree with the second half being stronger, but damn this is a great album.

I've never been a prince fan, but a friend of mine dragged me to a show (in 06 I think) and it's still one of the best shows I've ever been to. Absolutely amazing.

Prince was a colossal douche, but he was undoubtedly one of the greatest musicians to ever have walked this earth.

Okay second half is actually pretty damn good. Feels like more focused song writing with tasty hooks.
