I admit it.
Also, good news regarding Tuesday: Conley's start got bumped to today so now I can play everyone!

This is weird seeing numbers field a decent team.

My bridge year strategy from last year worked out.

Re: Fantasy Baseball: Mark Bellhorn Memorial League & RM Lea
Yeah it did.
As a league we're going to have to eventually discuss how we're going to handle keepers over the long term. We did six going into this season, and it'll be six again next season. It's not going higher than that.
But a couple years ago there were a few teams who wanted to keep it down closer to 4. The original idea for the league was to have more keepers, and allow people to build teams over the long term and reap the benefits. But if after a couple years at 6 we find that the bottom dwellers are stuck down there without a way to get good, we'll have to figure something else out. The last thing I want is people quitting the league because they suck and there's no one decent left to draft.
My idea is to maybe rotate each year between 4, 5, and 6 keepers. That way there will be a schedule in place and we won't have to revisit every couple of years.
But, this is all potential. If 6 works for everyone it can just stay there.

I'm fine with 6, I had to rebuild the team by basically punting last year, but that's kind of what I like about his league. It's a long term continuous project.

Yeah I'm just trying to keep a plan in my back pocket in case competitive balance becomes an issue. I too like 6.

Yeah, I dont think it's really an issue unless people lack the commitment required to rebuild a team. I had like no keeper worthy guys 2 years ago and now my team is semi-stacked.cutuphalfdead wrote:Yeah I'm just trying to keep a plan in my back pocket in case competitive balance becomes an issue. We'll see how you feel when you're bounced in the first round and miss the playoffs next year.numbers wrote:Yeah, I dont think it's really an issue unless people lack the commitment required to rebuild a team. I've already spent that winners purse, so I hope not.cutuphalfdead wrote:You're going down this week, numbers.
