How can this be the better movie? Its impossible.

Listen, I've got my doubts too, but from now on I'm hoping every new Star Wars movie is the best one so far. But this has a pretty steep mountain to climb, that's for sure. Still, anything is possible.

I think any standalone movie, which it seems are going to be more of prequelish of some way, cant be better than, lets say, empire or jedi.
Maybe The Last Jedi can be as good as those, yes...but a origin story about Solo? No way.

There is something about there spirit Han Solo and chewie conjours that evokes adventure and danger and being shit cool enough to scrape through every time with flair.
If they can capture even a piece of that I'd be happy.

And lads were more grown up than to be comparing Han and luke. Cmon. Two totally different characters and stories.

Totally subjective, but I find the idea of a rogue smuggler taking his chances in a galaxy of Jedis and nasty creatures to be way cooler than another Jedi coming into his powers. Plus Harrison Ford's portrayal is way more entertaining to me than Mark Hammill's.

1) have Lando disguise as a bounty hunter and infiltrate Jabba's palace for a long fucking time
2) have Leia disguise as a bounty hunter to be caught by Jabba and be his love slave
3) cause chaos, grab Han and get the fuck out of Dodge

I'm just saying I'd like to fully explore what the fuck Luke was actually thinking. Because that plan makes ZERO sense. It's completely stupid. Maybe a Lando movie could help retcon and explain that shit. Also, how awesome would it be to see HOW Lando got to be a guard at Jabba's palace? I mean, did he interview for the job? Did he knock somebody out and take their clothes? How come nobody noticed their buddy the original guard was missing and replaced by this new guy? What happened to the original guy? How did Lando know how to be a guard? Was their training involved.

There's a whole fucking trilogy there, wease!

I want to say this was brought up in one of the Luke books I read, or maybe the RotJ retread by the Origami Star Wars guy, but I can't be certain. A little of the planning was laid out because I remember it but it wasn't enough to satiate your thirst.

I'm mostly kidding. I mean, it is a dumbass plan. But I'm okay leaving it alone and never fully trying to make sense of it.

I wonder if Jabba fucked a Leia in his Hutt way.

Though I wonder if sending Lando in was his first plan that failed. Then he tried the droids. That failed except R2 was hidings lukes saber. Then Leia which also failed.

Then luke just finally showed up and almost failed.

So, yea good point joey! What was the goddamn plan?!?!
