They’re gonna have to have a helluva recap to bring me back up to speed

A 10 minute YouTube recap should do the trick.

2 eps into the new season. Was that the first scene Winona and Maya had together? Has to be weird all these decades after Reality Bites.

My season 5 started with the recap they put in front of it and I think it did the trick

Finished episode 4. It’s been a bloated mess so far, but an enjoyable one, and they always do a great job with the climaxes.
Derek Turnbow and his farts get the Volume 1 MVP award. Suck a fat one, Mom!

the thing about this show is that it's (not) edited in such a way that the super important emotional beats and events are given exactly the same weight as the more cursory scenes that would usually exist to get us from A to B, so I don't know what to care about, I'm lost in the sauce, it's just sensory overwhelm

I just use Kate Bush as my importance barometer.

I enjoyed these episodes. I think my favorite aspect is they’ve got everyone in exactly the groups I want. Oh, and I had that Tiffany cassette. Love that song!

Is it worth minding the gap?
Or would it work better to wait for volume 2 and binge?

Watch it now. You don’t want the episode 4 ending spoiled. It’s very satisfying.

Can’t wait for them to reveal the time travel subplot that allowed Derek to play the 1991 SNES game Super Ghouls n Ghosts on an NES in 1987.
