So, what’s your thought on it? Release the racist content or not?

Remastered for private viewing.
Release it with a disclaimer.

I saw a version of it when I was little, not sure how since it's never seen a home release in the US. We also had a set of the Disney books from back then that basically were retellings of their classic films and we read them all multiple times. As a white guy, I don't see the issue but I'm also part of the problem.
But yeah, do like WB did and just have a disclaimer on it.

In this case, doesn’t it mean children have a highly likely hood of seeing it? I guess I don’t see the benefit to it. The studio digitally edited guns out of ET, how is flagrant racism not worse?

That version of ET was quickly recognized as a ludicrous mistake and is no longer being distributed. Also, it wasn’t the studio - it was Spielberg.

So? We watched the WB cartoons with my son and he's not some flagrant racist now. WTF is your point? It's not like the flu where coming into contact with it makes you a terrible person all of a sudden.
But you know what?
Whatever, Rand.

If you think the problem is that children will become "flagrant" racists then you really have not thought through this at all

I was asking for thoughts on why is Disney is getting bashed for
not putting SotS on their new streaming service like the people in the linked article seem to be all over them for.

You really don’t see why people would be pissed off by a repugnantly wealthy bank - run by a billionaire - that played a pivotal role in crashing the American economy before accepting a multi-billion dollar government bailout condescendingly lecturing poor people that the reason they’re broke is because they eat and take cab rides? Really?
