We also had a set of the Disney books from back then that basically were retellings of their classic films and we read them all multiple times. As a white guy, I don't see the issue but I'm also part of the problem.

But yeah, do like WB did and just have a disclaimer on it.

In this case, doesn’t it mean children have a highly likely hood of seeing it? I guess I don’t see the benefit to it. The studio digitally edited guns out of ET, how is flagrant racism not worse?

That version of ET was quickly recognized as a ludicrous mistake and is no longer being distributed. Also, it wasn’t the studio - it was Spielberg.
