Not my usual style of tuneage but the beat appeals to me. This is local indigenous artist Miss Kaninna with Blak Britney.

Back on this silly shit. The slap bass solo is entirely too self-indulgent. The kind of slap solo that makes you think "Les Claypool should be the only person allowed to that, because he knows exactly how much is just enough". But I digress. The rest of it absolutely rules.

I had to reach for the genuine article. This might be the best bass playing I've ever heard. Triplets + delay has an unfair face-melting quality.

This is pretty dope. I hear a lot of Blue Lines (1991)-era Massive Attack in that beat early on. And the squeal is very House of Pain. Then it goes full sub-bass and crushes shit.
Good shit, my brethren.

Ello Sailor wrote:"Britpop" is the dumbest term in the history of music. How is this pop? Is it the backing vocals? This shit is balls to the wall.
Thank you for attending my TedTalk.
I think of Britpop as much more of an era term rather than a specific-type-of-music term, except that the pop is with respect to simply music that is popular of the time.
Does what I just wrote there even make sense? Anyway, that vid reminded me of this vid, not sure exactly why.

The period angle makes perfect sense, but the music press insisted on calling stuff like The Music britpop in '02-'04! Ridiculous.
(I really like The Music for what it's worth. They were sick live.)

Phil Jamieson certainly can sing. Great band indeed.
