I didn't post all of this here, but my initial reaction was some cautious optimism that Disney would release a good product, but the prequel taste in my mouth was such that I wasn't that excited for any of it, and didn't much care (which I did post at some point)--I followed that thread only sporadically. Star Wars was something I knew was happening again in some capacity, but not anything I need to think about.

My attitude changed with the teaser trailer, and I have very clear memories of my initial response to it.

1. Finn in the desert: this is totally some fan made teaser
2. BB-8: What a shitty looking special effect
3. Storm troopers: Fan made--wanna be halo.
4. Daisey on the speeder: totally fan made. What a pointless shot.
4. X wings--okay, I miss x-wings. interesting to see them in the water
5. Kylo Ren--this guy moves well.
6. Kylo Ren's lightsaber--okay, this is a very well done fan made teaser, but that's totally a fan thing
7. Millennium Falcon and music---I LOVE STAR WARS AGAIN

that's still my favorite moment in any of the teasers, though it's far from the best. That or the voice over line 'the force is calling to you/just let it in' since that is pretty much defines the emotional space I've come at this movie from--not just a movie I want to see, but a chance to redeem something once very important to me that I had thought I lost.

Sorry fella. I went out last night and it turned into this morning.
Don't worry have no there's anything to report other than there will be no post credits scene buried at the end of the film.
