Sure, that would be cheap insurance against a significantly more deadly threat. I was on board with flattening the curve to allow hospitals to ramp up ICU capacity. I stayed home as much as possible and wore a mask in public months ago, before it was mandated anywhere...in fact, the CDC was saying it wasn't necessary. I still put on a mask where required by law or store policy and don't make a scene.
Where they started to lose me was when "flatten the curve" morphed into "cancel everything forever until there's a vaccine" and the virus became politicized. Kids need to be back in school, people need to be at work, and life needs to go on. I'm not going to live in fear.
So now you just wont wear a mask because fuck you?

COVID is also significantly more than "slightly more deadly" than the flu but mac is a world-class dipshit so I think mortality vs. case-fatality rate is beyond his grasp.

Nah, you guys all remember how we celebrate the annual “150,000 American deaths” benchmark from the flu. It’s usually in late July. Dumb cuck libs will probably cancel it this year.
Love that day. There are parades. Kids get a present for every 200 people that died that day. We build floats themed around things like lasting lung tissue damage in some mild cases, and the fact that we don’t know the long term ramifications for survivors because there aren’t any long term survivors to study yet.
