The cubs are in trouble unless the back end of their rotation shows up big. It looks like their bats are slumping at the worst time.

yeah, depending on hendricks and hammel isn't encouraging, but it's about the offense right now. you have to score to win ffs.

Thats the thing I really like about these young Cubs hitters (like of course as a Brewers fan) yeah, they can all hit monster home runs... but they strike out a ton, and if they get a few guys cold at the same time, theyre going to be brutal to watch.

as for the personal catcher, there definitely is something to it, to a point. I know Greinke even likes it, as the day before his start, him and the catcher can both sit and talk during the game, how theyre going to pitch guys the next day. Makes calling the game a lot easier the next night.

I would only have a problem with it, if your starting pitcher was way better than the number 2 and you relied on his bat in the offense.

I have no problem with pairing pitchers and catchers, even if you're sacrificing some offense in doings. What I have a problem with is when you're not winning games and your prima donna starting pitcher won't consider using the other guy even if it gives them a stronger line up.

It did not.

Having the best offense in baseball makes it feel a little less daunting, at least. Still, though. Ugh.
