A-Rod's pretty charismatic for a guy that I've always assumed was a scumbag.

I know it's on the players for not getting the job done, but it sucks to see two egregious calls to consecutive batters play much a huge role in determining the outcome. Those aren't borderline pitches that went against the Jays... those are objectively horrible calls.
Amazing ride this year, though.

Since the pirates were eliminated I've said I'd be pulling for whatever AL team makes it. Now I think I'm just pulling for a good, long series.

All I really cared about was that the Dodgers and Cubs not win.

As most of you know, I'm not a big baseball guy. My family used to have season tickets. I spent many a summer night between 1991 and 1997 at the K. I played as a kid growing up. But I outgrew the sport when the Chiefs drafted Tony Gonzalez and I got swept away in the glory that is professional football.
Anyway, last year I got sorta swept up in all the post season glory and spent more time this season tracking the Royals. I'm so excited, overjoyed for the Kansas City Royals and for Kansas City and of course for the for the fans. They deserve this. Back to Back Championship appearances. So fucking awesome!
If they can win it all, I'll probably smile and shed a tear for my people, my city, my heart. But, still, I wish I was a big enough fan to fully appreciate what's happening. Anyway...
Go Royals.

I'm on board with the Royals. That city gave me the gift of Joes Kansas City BBQ.

I've been a big fan of the Royals since the wildcard game last year. Go bandwagon!
