I thought it was disrespectful of him to post Celtic Pride and all those shamrocks on Twitter immediately after signing. It's not the average Hawk fans fault Atlanta is a terrible sports town.

....And there's the Nets in with the poison pill offer for Tyler Johnson.

Sigh.

Yeah he's a nice player. Too bad. I'd pay 12.5 a year for his upside if I was a GM.

The Celtics just need to Godfather an offer to the Bulls for Jimmy now. Horford/AmirJohnson/Durant/Jimmy/Thomas could do some damage.

In Atlanta, support at home games was sometimes tepid, despite the fact that the Hawks had gone 108-56 over the last two years.

“There wasn’t as much motivation for him when he saw all the empty seats when they were winning,” Tito Horford said. “He said to me, ‘Dad, when we were playing Boston, they were down 15 points and they were cheering their team like they were winning the game. They’re so into the game.’ This is special for us, especially for him.”
What's sort of hilarious in this is that the interest for the NBA in Atlanta is generally 3rd highest in the nation when you look at TV market share. Basically there just aren't enough people who care to go see an also ran Hawks team on a nightly basis. The Celtics have what 6 or 7 generations of fans, stars and championships. It's just another excuse really. I wanted him back, but it's not like he's some difference making player. I like him a lot more that Dwight but good for him I guess. Good luck to him. He'll probably continue to be a very good player for 3 more years.

Regular season success doesn't matter.... Ever. That is not winning.

Hawks get worse C's get better.... Same old same old....we're back to the early 90's and Dominique.
But if you go 108-56 and the crowd is just not into it, or, worse, not selling out every game, why would you want to stay?

You need fans that stay and cheer for the team even as it's about to be smashed by the Heat. For example:

Was there nothing better to do?

I'm done with this sorry ass org until Fred gar and rondo alien looking ass are gone. There are plenty of fun things going on in the NbA to occupy my love of the game. I'm not giving one more cent to the bulls until things change.

How many people will Rondo out while in Chicago? I'll set the over/under at 1.5

Multiple nat'l media reports have Durant choosing between Golden State and OKC, which I think is correct.

There's one local report here in Boston that says the C's are still in it. I'm not linking to that report, as it's only designed to get more clicks. Click bait media!

OMG, and Rondo to the Bulls? I feel for ya.

Won't happen but would be great to watch. Butler needs to get out of there. Can't wait to see the fireworks between Rondo and coach Fred although Freddy will probably be afraid to call him out on anything. Thibbs must be laughing his ass off right now.

Isn't he supposed to announce it through his paper? I think it is morning now so what is the hold up. He's gonna look like a chump if he goes to the Warriors.

You think there is anything real to the Vucevic for Taj Gibson rumors? I personally don't want the Magic to move Vuc (great value on his contract and probably the second best offensive big man behind Cousins). Looks like he might be on the block now with the moves the Magic have made. I like Biyombo but would take Vuc over him any day and Vuc and Ibaka with Aaron Gordon could be a very nice front court assuming Gordon continues to improve.
