I like CSH, Will Toledo was just an ambitious bandcamp kid whose cult following grew a little too big, but he's got good tunes.
It feels kinda weird to see them often referred to as the main indie rock act to look up to these days but his heartfelt conversational lyrics and growing from an extremely lo fi aesthetic resonates a lot to many people within a certain demographic (home staying, DIY, relatively internet savvy youth). Personally, Beach Life in Death affects me in the way few songs from the past decade can but I don't love his albums front to back.

I just think my moment for CSH's brand of guitar-based college rock has passed. I can imagine having really liked them in the early 2000's, it's just not what I gravitate toward anymore.
That said, I genuinely disliked the song posted above.

I can't believe Pearl Jam, The Strokes, and Fiona Apple - three of my all-time favs - put out brand new albums within a month span of each other and all of them are good. Really fucking good.

I've been listening to IDLES "A Beautiful Thing: Live at Le Bataclan" a lot lately. Truly one of the best live albums I've ever heard. They have an energy, intensity and heart-on-sleeve earnestness that reminds me a lot of Vs.-era PJ. Introducing a song by bellowing "I. AM. A FEMINIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSST-AH!!!!" is a vintage Ed move.

Also this is their Instagram bio:
"Puddle of Mudd rise from the ashes with their sixth studio album in nearly a decade, entitled Welcome to Galvania. Releasing September 13th."
Their sixth in nearly a decade?

I've been big on these guys lately too, and yep, that's a great live album. Mad energy here, but very positive.

Favorite rock drumming song? Moby Dick by Led Zeppelin is great but I'm going to go with Harper Lewis by Russian circles.

New song by The Rolling Stones today: Living in a Ghost Town. I am impressed and want more. Hopefully they release the rest of what they’ve been working on. Between this and Blue and Lonesome, this feels like a great late career renaissance. Fingers crossed.

Moby Dick drags, in some spots.

Gosh, it’s probably have to be something by Soundgarden. Probably pretty noose?
Anything AC/DC.

He really does. I think the age in his voice works with their bluesy roots. This one kind of toes the line between Keith’s blues and Mick’s groove.
