The good news is that a quarter of all Americans will refuse vaccination, so we won’t need quite as many doses as you might think.

We all want to be hopeful. But to have an approved, ready to go vaccine with enough manufactured doses AND distributed to enough people to matter before 2021 doesn't seem like anything but wishful thinking.

That's why I capitalized AND. Also, what I see around Google is a goal of "millions of doses per month." That's pretty vague. Is it 10 million per month? That'd take us past 2021 to get to everyone. Is it 50M? That's a lot, but still would take us into 2021. We've made fast progress for sure, but getting America properly vaccinated is going to be the hardest challenge of all. Why anyone would think this is the part that might go smoothly is beyond me.
