It would be pretty awkward if Elon backed out and Twitter was stuck with a bunch of new or unbanned conservative accounts and the deactivations of liberal ones. There seems to be a lot.

This makes sense, particularly in light of the argument that McP made (advertisers will want no part of this.) I don't think anyone should be surprised about a freemium model, nor do I think it would lose customers. People will absolutely pay $ to inject the good shit in their veins and get an edit button to boot so they can do it guilt free. This is the society we live in.

There has yet to be a social media company that successfully introduced a freemium model to users and I can pretty confidently say that "pay us to retweet President Trump" is not going to be the breakthrough strategy
