I personally don't think they're bowing so much as transacting on that which was previously transacted: I don't think they (largely, but not uniformly) ever cared about DEI, and only championed it because it was the dominant paradigm at the time. Today that paradigm is different. If the next administration is advocating for actual clowns working in tech, guess who will be working in tech.

If they can't be made to think and act correctly, I'll settle for them merely acting correctly.
