I really think they should change it up, pull in the occasional 2010 World Cup sounds, the wave, the Duke crowd chanting air ball, just silliness. Pushing the gain up on a big play just sounds awful, might as well be vuvuzelas. Hell, pull in the Phillies Air Horns for the Falcons.

I agree the crowd noise is stupidly irritating. I always hated a laugh track and this tops it. Who thought this would be a good idea?

Football without fans is super depressing to watch. Way beyond the typical depression I feel as a Lions fan.

The Vikings losing Barr for the season though is pretty much the nail in the coffin maybe.

This isn’t a political take but I have basically zero interest in the NFL this year. I’ve watched about 5-10 minutes total the first two weeks of the season. I just seriously don’t care. I feel the same with the NBA. I haven’t watched one second of the NBA in the bubble. But I’m watching as much or more baseball than ever (which has always been my favorite sport anyway). Maybe I’ll find some interest after the World Series, but at this rate I can’t imagine that I’ll care more then either.
