What about when he makes another ocean analogy? That's pretty embarrassing to me.bada wrote:Yikes looks like I'm way late to the party. I forgot all about this which I guess says.....something?. The Dave Byrne impression threw me pretty hard because it's such a iconic delivery but...it kinda works. The vibe and outro is pretty cool. I don't really care about lyrics so....I wish the band attacked their parts a little harder....not like 90's fuzz box it up more like up the intensity especially Mike...maybe its my shit computer speakers but it's not all the way there. It's the best sounding record since Riot Act. There is nothing embarrassing here....no part where I think "ugh dumb". Pretty satisfied.
Are people out there really listening to this - or any music - on computer speakers?bada wrote:Yikes looks like I'm way late to the party. I forgot all about this which I guess says.....something?. Pearl Jam sound like absolute garbage on subpar speakers, mostly because of Ed. If you listen to a singer like Billie Eilish, it will sound good no matter how you're hearing it, because she's great.Birds in Hell wrote:Are people out there really listening to this - or any music - on computer speakers?bada wrote:Yikes looks like I'm way late to the party. It feels like it could be a crutch, and I raised my eyebrows at 'ocean' for sure the first time, but as a Jason Molina fan, who couldn't write a song without the moon/blues/owl/wolf/dark, I mean, I get a writer having certain tropes they're obsessed with.tree_ wrote:What about when he makes another ocean analogy? I can picture you guys in your cubicles with your $1000 headphones, record player and vinyl really feeling every sound.
