Now I'll never take my son to New York, the only place he could have learned about the existence of Teddy Roosevelt

that statue was so stupid. like something out of a cigarette ad. glad to see it come down
“The world does not need statues, relics of another age, that reflect neither the values of the person they intend to honor nor the values of equality and justice,” said Theodore Roosevelt IV, age 77, a great-grandson of the 26th president and a museum trustee. “The composition of the Equestrian Statue does not reflect Theodore Roosevelt’s legacy. It is time to move the statue and move forward.”

Coins? How about debit cards that you can only use at stores (not an atm) and there is an exorbitant transaction fee?

When your politicians and news sources all pander to your every fantasy, eventually anyone who disagrees must just be maliciously ignoring you.

Edit: Such quality in that thread..

I think a key difference between applying this sentiment then and now can be found in the word "fantasy."

River of Doubt, about his trip through the amazon, is pretty bad ass.

But that's my point, I don't get the sense that politicians and news sources are pandering to every fantasy. I think there has been quite a lot of nuance and range to the discussion, outside of FOX, of course.

That's because they are pandering to your fantasy, so to you it seems rational. Remember the last couple years when nearly everyday there was some newly discovered incontrovertible proof of Trump colluding with Russia that will surely get him impeached?
