I won't be surprised either way but I think this was always meant as a one-off. Like Anders said, it's possible he dies. It's also possible his story will continue in other parts of the Mandoverse. But I think The Book is probably done.

But I'm wrong a lot, so...

So in the comic “the rise of kylo ren” it is told that he is the first student at luke’s Jedi academy. So i guess we know what grogu chooses

it seems kinda weird Kylo being the first one, because it seemes the temple is almost finished. Maybe its a case of the guys in the comic not knowing about Grogu?

Also, its hinted in that comic that the emperor is the one who burnt Luke´s jedi academy.

They also flat out say it in The Last Jedi

For timeline purposes we're about five years away from Luke beginning Ben's training.

Still a lot of story left to tell.

Well, if Grogu doesn't become his first student, he could spend another few years looking for more students before deciding on Ben Solo. Ben Solo might already be born at this point.

A more unlikely possibility that preserves the suspense for one more day is that Grogu chooses the lightsaber, then leaves the school. Luke is crushed and then restarts the school with Ben as the first REAL student.
