I also think the new song is just ok. Music is cool, but I need to get used to Ed’s new way of singing.

i feel so depressed about the way basically all modern music sounds now, in terms of production...this sounds the same to me as that green day record that just came out..the production is really sterile, and clearly influenced by mass-market pop. like just the sound of the guitars and the drums...really inorganic.

Honestly it grows on me more and more with each listen.
Ed's voice is terrific, like he's leaning back into his former days phrasing. This sounds like it could easily live on Avocado or Yield.

I'm really struggling with placing this in a "sounds like it could be on <Album X>" or "one part Y, two parts Z" context. I haven't tried that hard, but for me the answer isn't obvious at all.

i kinda thought it might be a "rickroll" so it'll have to grow on me.

This song kicks arse! I can't wait for the album to drop and the Australian shows!

Eddie's growls near the end of the song are a nice addition.

from what I've seen they're really leaning into the classic (slightly cheesy) hard rock for this one, but this time for me it's working (so far)
