This is true. People request wheelchairs now just to get through security quicker. Everyone has pre check or clear. It all sucks. The good thing for us is we fly out from a small airport so it’s never bad leaving, just coming home

I can’t say I blame them. 2+ hours for security line is fucking bullshit.

Two hours just for security is a crazy wait. They closed an entire security gate in SF last year with no notice and I still only waited maybe 1.5 hours, and that line was bad enough that there were reporters there covering it.

I’ve had to evacuate an an entire terminal at O’Hare because of a tornado warning on a Friday afternoon and re-enter security amidst complete chaos, and that whole process took us less than 2 hours.

Oh, no, it’s entirely true. At one point the news was reporting that lines extended outside the actual airport and out into the parking garage.

I applied for TSA, got to the end, and couldn’t make an appointment due to “server error”

Love sitting next to an obese man with a shirt that doesn’t go down far enough, but legs wide enough to take up a quarter of my space.

Thank you lenny for providing him a safe space to be himself.

If you’re so inclined, you could always send him this link: http://forums.theskyiscrape.com/viewtop ... start=1000

I'm legit sorry for you Lenny. That sounds like hell.

I had a weird thing happen today on my 2 and 1/2 hr flight today that was delayed an extra hour on the tarmac. I paid for an exit row/leg room seat and was in the aisle, middle free and random youngish dude on the window.

I read my Uncut magazine for the hour on the tarmac and have my headphones on. But the entire time this dude is listening to his phone via speaker, albeit quietly. But still, it's loud enough that I can hear it when my music is quiet and seriously, who does that?

Anyway, once we take off I stretched my legs fully out in front of me and start to snooze (I had my jumper set up perfectly as a neck pillow - a happy fluke) and about 30 mins in I heard something and woke up. Old mate is in the aisle messing about with the overhead locker. Honestly, the space I was taking up he must have done some yoga sttetches to get past me without waking me. I asked him how he dit it but he ignored me.

So he heads off and I assume he's gone to the loo, so I'm dozing off again but think he's gonna be back anytime and I don't want him to have to step over me again. So I drift off, wake up, drift off, wake up, over and over until it becomes aparrent this dude ain't coming back. I assume he decided a full row of 3 seats was required for a good sleep down the back of the plane rather than the extra leg room seat he'd paid for. I can understand that, especially if you are super hungover or something (no idea if he was - he didn't smell bad or anything. I have no idea of his personal circumstance).

Anyway, I finally crash again and wake up a bit before the announcement that we're starting our descent. At that he wanders back and again proceeds to spend 5 full minutes fucking about in the overhead locker until he sits back down on his original window seat.

Cool, no issue by me. He's done me no harm (except the initial phone speaker thing, but whatever).

And then he proceeds to take his shoes, socks and FUCKING JEANS off, revealing a pair of shorts hidden beneath. Thank fuck for that.

He once again goes past me to the aisle and spends the next 3 minutes putting his clothes away until he finally sits down again, now in singlet, shorts and slides, fully ready to de-board in tropical Broome.

Overall I have to say it was a kinda unsettling experience...
