Hey, everyone, longtime fan here. I’ve been following the Matt news and finally decided to chime in and ask something I’ve been wondering. It could have been said already, but there is a lot of chatter here! Is the band already looking at new drummers? I’m specifically wondering if there have been rumors, auditions, social media posts etc about it. Thanks!

So far only Adam Levine has auditioned but apparently they’ve cancelled all other scheduled tryouts

Adam was simply THAT good a fit. No need to look any further.

I know Adam Levine can’t be true but it’s still a funny idea. I guess my big question is whether they go with an big named superstar or an established touring/session drummer. I could see a big name being a draw for tours, but I don’t think they’d need the extra publicity. I say go with an under-the-radar guy who can handle the tougher Jack songs and it’ll work out for at least a few more tours.

It seems like if they go the route of the touring/session drummer, the new guy might not get as much songwriting credit. I wonder how that shakes out in terms of the rest of the bands songwriting load. I’d say more Ed would be expected, but who knows.

My guess would still be Matt Chamberlain. Would be awesome for them.

he actually kills it on 'purple rain' at howard stern's bday party. i wouldn't be surprised if he's a good drummer. i still want no parts of this joke.

didn't they repost a pearl jam cover band? how crazy would it be if a cover band drummer became the actual drummer of pearl jam?

Yup. Ed worked definitely be waiting in the merch line. Gotta get his hands on one of those Neil Young trucker hats.
