Some quality setlists here. I saw maybe the least memorable show of the North American tour in 2003 at Alpine Valley, but it was still great. My 2008 show had some good stuff, including "Planet Telex" and "Where I End and You Begin", but the show was in a Roman arena in southern France, so that was cool.

But I also saw them in 1997, and it was mind-blowing. So there's that. Even if it was a festival set and they only got like 40 minutes, it was still amazing.

I am still perplexed as to why WIEAYB hasn't made a return, especially considering how long The Gloaming and Myxomatosis have stuck around.

The preFM recording of my first show finally surfaced last year - it's the show the live version of 2+2=5 on COMLAG is from. The show the following night (2003-11-27) is often hailed as one the band's best ever, but all bias aside the previous night is a very solid show from one of my favourite eras of the band

Only a few hundred people there and we were right up front (between Thom and Johnny - Colin was behind Johnny I remember - to Phil's left). It was loud and hot. Saratoga Winners was a glorified barn with no backstage, right next to a land fill. It burned down a few years ago (in an insurance scam no less). A lot of bands played there. Blind Melon, Counting Crows, Lemonheads, etc. Bands waited in the tour bus and came through barn-like doors behind the drum set. Sometimes, on hot nights they would leave the doors open and you could see outside. Walked by Thom in the parking lot after the show on his way to the bus. I would have said Hello, but was not 100% sure of his name at the time. It was great, I saw Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Letters to Cleo and Juliana Hatfield up front. There was no barrier and you could put your hands on the stage.

No pictures or recordings of the show but they mentioned it in an interview before Milton Keynes 1995 (https://citizeninsane.eu/s1995-10RWS.htm):

DJ: So we know it’s quite hectic for Radiohead at the moment, because we spoke to you on the phone on the Evening Session earlier in the week, but just tell us exactly where you‘ve been in the last 4 days
Ed: We did a gig in, where was it - Ottawa.
Thom: We did Canada, and New York.
Ed: And home.
Thom: Yeah - we’re shooting a video tomorrow, for ‘Just’, and then we fly to Berlin the next morning, very early.
DJ: So what was your last gig in America like?
Thom: Oh, it was awful - awful.
Ed: It was a place called Saratoga Winners, in this kind of shack in up state New York, in Albany. It’s a real, real dive and it’s like really humid there as well, they’ve got this heatwave as well at the moment - five English blokes, you know - we were wasting away.
Thom: And then before that, we done two amazing shows in Canada, that were some of the most exciting shows we’ve ever done I think.
DJ: What size of audiences are you playing out there on this tour?
Thom: It goes between 500 to 1000.

Those 2 Earls Court shows are still the live Radiohead I listen to the most. The 2001 Gorge show I went to also has a fantastic soundboard recording. Highly recommended.

I'd read an interview with Thom a few weeks before the show where he said he can't play after playing Street Spirit. He liked it to a dog wagging it's tail on the way to the vet to be put down. I was blown away seeing it live and was thrilled that they didn't play anything after.

Nice! This will be a great bonus to the live recordings in the "Every Last Crumb" set -- I was thinking while putting those discs together that "Kid A" and "Amnesiac" are pretty well covered by the Canal Studios gig, "In Rainbows" and "TKOL" by the Basement sessions, so this should fill in the gaps from "HTTT" nicely.
